This class will cover the bare-bones must-have skills to begin knitting. Students will work on a dish cloth while learning the following:

How to cast on with the long tail cast on

How to make a knit stitch

How to make a purl stitch

How to cast off

Terminology needed to look up these skills online or in books

The most useful books to have access to when learning to knit

What’s next? We will provide information on where to look when ready to take knitting beyond dishcloths.
